Boston’s only triathlon returns for its 17th year on August 16-17, 2025, inviting athletes of all levels to swim, bike, and run along South Boston’s scenic waterfront.

Produced by ethos, the Boston Triathlon features both Olympic and sprint distance races with a course that includes a swim at Carson Beach, a bike ride on William Day Boulevard, and a run in South Boston.

In addition to the adult competitions, the 11th Annual Kids Day at the Boston Tri will take place on Saturday, August 16th, offering fun and age-appropriate races and activities designed to introduce children to the concept of multisport.

There is a Fun Run for kids under the age of 6 yrs old and Splash n Dash races for kids between 7-15 yrs old.

All kids’ events are FREE and kids of all ages are welcome to join.

The Boston Triathlon also continues its commitment to athlete-first policies, with flexible options for deferrals, transfers, and refunds to make race planning easier and more accessible.

• Saturday, August 16, 2025 – Kids Day at the Boston Tri (packet pick up starts at 1 p.m.)
• Sunday, August 17, 2025 – Olympic and Sprint Distance Races (starts at 6:30 a.m.)
