Powers Music School faculty and staff present the next event in the Musical Storytelling Program, “Opera Cat,” on Saturday, May 6, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., at the Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Avenue.

Led by Todd Brunel (woodwinds), Yas Ishibashi (piano and vocals), Vanessa Schukis (vocals), and Helen Clapp Stevenson (narration and vocals), this performance will have children and parents singing and dancing along to the popular children’s book written by Tess Weaver and illustrated by Andrea Wesson.

Admission is free.

The Musical Storytelling Program is supported in part by grants from the Belmont, Arlington, and Watertown Cultural Councils, local agencies supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
