The next event in Powers Music School’s Musical Storytelling Program will be “Anansi and the Talking Melon” on Saturday, December 8, 10:15 a.m., at the Watertown Free Public Library, 123 Main Street.

This performance will feature a narration of the popular children’s book and music by Powers faculty and guests Yas Ishibashi (piano, vocals), Jessica Cooper (narration, vocals), Michael Carey (saxophone, flute, clarinet), and Nurudafina Abena (African percussion).

Admission is free, please arrive early.The Musical Storytelling Program is supported in part by the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation.
