River Fit Summer Fitness Series on The Esplanade
The River Fit Summer Fitness Series will return to the Esplanade the week of July 18 with more fitness classes than ever before!
River Fit consists of a variety of outdoor fitness classes— including dance fitness classes, high-intensity interval training, sunrise yoga and more— that are taught for a range of experience levels and abilities.
People of all ages and fitness-levels are invited to get fit for free in the park while enjoying beautiful riverfront views!
River Fit: Sunrise Yoga with B/SPOKE
Every Wednesday from July 21 through September 8 from 7:30am to 8:30am on Fiedler Field.
REGISTER FOR BOLLYX!
BollyX, featured on ABC’s SHARK TANK! earlier this year, is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world.
Its 50-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and smiling.
Experience a Bollywood-inspired, dance fitness program that combines fun choreography and calorie-burning workouts, with upbeat music from India and beyond! All levels are welcome.

River Fit: ‘Froca Fridays
Taking place on July 23, August, 6, and August 13 from 5:15pm to 6:15pm at the Hatch Shell.

River Fit: ‘Froca Fridays will take participants around the world, exposing them to new rhythms while they break a sweat! ‘Froca is a celebration of songs and dances from across Africa and the Caribbean.
Set to popular African and Caribbean music, ‘Froca draws on movements and dances rooted in deep tradition as well as steps that have gained popularity in recent years. ‘Froca was created by Sylver Rochelin Randrianantenaina, a professional dancer and choreographer from Madagascar.
In class, Sylver guides his students through an hour of nonstop dance and choreography, allowing everyone to internalize the steps, feel the rhythms, and work up a sweat – celebrating each other’s cultures. ‘Froca classes include steps and rhythms from Madagascar, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Congo, Ethiopia, Mali, Guinea, Ghana, Togo, Senegal, Trinidad, Jamaica, and more.

Lynx Fitness Club is bringing the heat on the Esplanade this summer through River Fit: Lynx Saturday Workouts!
For four consecutive Saturdays this summer, beginning July 24, instructors from Lynx Fitness Club will lead you through an hour-long high intensity interval training (HIIT) class that incorporates bodyweight strength training with high-intensity cardio bursts for maximum calorie burning effect, set to fun and upbeat music!

Join us for two TRILLFIT® Cardio Dance classes this summer part of our River Fit Summer Fitness Series! TRILLFIT® is Boston’s original hip hop workout party and will take place on Tuesday, July 27 and Tuesday, August 10 at 6pm on Fiedler Field.
TRILLFIT® Cardio Dance, their signature dance class, blends Beyonce-worthy choreography (we love a good twerk sesh) with multiple rounds of HIIT, to sweat your way to a tighter, toned body. Sneakers Required. All levels welcome.

Taking place on Tuesday, August 3 and every Tuesday from August 17 through September 7 from 6pm to 7pm on Fiedler Field.

Join the Esplanade Association for River Fit: Kick It By Eliza this summer, part of the River Fit Summer Fitness Series!
Kick It is a 13-round fitness method that is music-driven and kickboxing-inspired. No equipment is needed except for a yoga mat, if desired. Some rounds target specific body parts (such as legs or arms), but most of the class is cardio focused. Plenty of options to modify are provided along the way, so this class truly is for everyone!

From slow serpentine moves like figure eights, snake-arms, belly-rolls, and undulations to fast and fiery hip-locks and shimmies Johara will teach the basics of belly dance along with fun combinations. This class is for everyone who wants to get a light cardio workout and all over body toning as they explore the treasures of the east.
We recommend wearing comfortable work-out/yoga style clothes. Optional— bring a coin hip scarf or any scarf you can tie around the hips. Wear soft soled shoes or sneakers.

Ije Company Inc’s philosophy to “keep moving” will show you how to move correctly, teach you how to make it a lifestyle. Programming is based on Ije’s SPA methodology (Speed, Plyometrics, & Agility). SPA training is for the current athlete, former athletes, and active lifestyle enthusiasts. Ije’s goal is to increase athletes’ overall physical movement, body awareness, motivation, and athletic performance.
Ije Company’s free training classes work with 8-12th grade students currently in or interested in sports. Ije’s goal is to increase overall physical movement, body awareness, motivation, and athletic performance. We welcome students and athletes of all levels, backgrounds, genders, and sports. Ije is the one-stop shop for athletes to improve their health and wellness.
