Become a Foster Parent with Dare Family Services.Dare Family Services is a private, nonprofit, social service agency providing intensive foster care to children and teens who have been abused or neglected. With over 45 years experience, Dare is one of the oldest and most successful child placement agencies in New England.
In Massachusetts alone, there are over 12,000 children in the foster care system and less than 2,500 foster homes available. Dare is looking for compassionate individuals to open their homes and their hearts to give these children a real chance: a chance to grow, a chance to be safe, and a chance to succeed.
We are recruiting foster parents in Massachusetts to provide homes for local foster children while they go through the healing process and try to just “be a kid”. The need is much higher for children 10-17. Older kids still need a family……They need you!
Mentors Receive:
*$1500/month Tax-Free stipend
*Quarterly clothing allowance for the child
*Free medical coverage for the child
*Excellent, ongoing professional training
*Individual and group clinical support
*24 hour emergency response
Mentors Must Have:
*Adequate space in the home
*A high school diploma/GED
*A driver’s license and reliable car
*No other full time employment
*Clean criminal background (CORI)
