Codman Pool is L shaped and includes a lap swimming pool and a gentle stair entry for swim and play. There is also a small toddler pool. The pool area is enclosed with a fence.
PATRON PARKING AND ACCESS
Due to the school building renovation project, the pool parking lot is not available for parking and there is NO ability to drop off at the pool entrance, with the exception of handicap parking, which is available at the base of the pool driveway. All other patrons may park in the following locations:
1) the new modular parking lot
2) the Hartwell parking lot
3) the spaces around the Ballfield Road loop
4) the Smith parking lot
A pedestrian footpath will be provided through the pool parking lot to access the pool.
When traveling to and from the pool:
- Face coverings are to be worn whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
- Please DO NOT gather in groups larger than 10 in parking lots or in front of the Codman entrance
Capacity in the Facility
The Codman Pool will be operating at a 40% bather capacity (60 patrons). NO EXCEPTIONS can be made. If Massachusetts enters a new public health phases, that capacity may change.
Deck Regulations
Patrons should always adhere to social distancing protocols. Face coverings should be worn by all patrons over age 2 when social distancing is not possible unless you are medically incapable of doing so.
To ensure the safety of all patrons, the Codman Pool will be eliminating certain amenities to reduce the risk of contact transmission. The following will NOT be available to the public at this time:
- Changing cabanas
- Picnic tables
- Indoor restrooms (porta-potties will be available)
- Indoor showers (outdoor showers are available)
- Pool slide
Patrons should NOT bring their own lawn furniture or equipment. Pool chairs and umbrellas will be available for use and will be sanitized between reservation blocks.
