Exhibits explain Mount Washington's climate and weather, giving insight into the conditions that contribute to its severity. There are also exhibits on the geological history of the Presidential Range, interpreting the effects of the continental ice sheets that scoured the landscape several times over the last million years.
Weather Discovery Center
The Weather Discovery Center is a free, interactive science museum called in downtown North Conway, New Hampshire. Explore the science of climate and weather through fun, interactive exhibits like our air cannon, flow tank and wind room. Plus, meet and interact with the hardy observers living and working in our summit weather station through a twice daily live video link.
The Weather Discovery Center is located across from the Eastern Slope Inn at 2779 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860.

Mount Washington Museum: Based upon weather, the typical operating season is mid-May to mid-October, from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Weather Discovery Center: Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years

Mount Washington Museum: Free with membership or trip on Mt. Washington Auto Road and Mt. Washington Cog Railway. All others, adults $3.00, children $1.00, and children under the age of 6 are free.
