The camp also features an ice skating program each day, with a minimum of 1 1/2 hours on ice each day designed for recreational skaters of all ages and abilities.
For parents, Camp Ice has become the ideal solution to solve the problem of daytime activities and supervision for their children throughout the school vacations and summer months. With a trained and certified staff of dedicated professionals, and a complete schedule of activities, Camp Ice has become the “Coolest” day camp around!
Camp Goals and Philosophy:
Camp Ice strives to provide each camper with the opportunity to grow. In our view, every camper is different and unique, and must be treated that way. The goal of our staff is to help your child discover what he or she is best at, and help them to recognize that there is something at which they can excel.
Through group activities and personal instruction campers will grow by learning valuable lessons about trying new things, teamwork, communication and cooperation while meeting new people in a day camp setting. You will find you camper returning home each day a little more mature, more capable of doing things themselves, and secure in the knowledge that they did something special for themselves.
About the Program:
The program serves children age 6-12. At Camp Ice we realize that each camper brings a different set of interests and talents that contribute to making camp the special place that it is. All of these talents and interests are fostered, developed, and molded into a warm, strong, safe place to be.
Camp Ice offers an Arts & Crafts program which includes jewelry making, painting, creative bead works, clay projects and much more.
The camp size enables the staff to foster the individual interests of the campers. This is done through a Movie & Leisure period where campers can choose from a variety of activities.
Staff and Facilities:
The most important aspect of an outstanding camp is its staff and program. Your child’s safety, needs and development are our staff’s first concern. Our staff is selected based on their ability to offer the campers mature and capable leadership. Each staff member has a strong background and experience working with children.
Every Camp Ice Director must complete a staff training and evaluation process, including 1st Aid and CPR, to assure that they are capable and ready to meet your child’s needs.
