Nicole’s Art Spot is a fun art and craft education program taught by Nicole Donson that offers classes in an array of art and craft media ranging from silk painting, sewing, weaving, wet felting and knitting to painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture and mosaics. Small class sizes of mixed ages permit each child to get the attention they need while gaining new artistic skills in a nurturing environment. Classes encourage individual creativity, exploration, experimentation and self-discovery, with a special focus on the fiber arts. Children can delve into art and craft media that interests them the most and projects are tailored to meet their interests.
Nicole’s Art Spot also hosts birthday parties, offers individual and small group instruction and drop-in hours. Nicole Donson has been teaching art to children in after school settings and community education programs for more than fifteen years.
She also paints on silk with dyes, creating unique one of a kind scarves, clothing, and fine art. Her work can be seen at www.silkendreams.com.
Nicole’s Art Spot is located at the Gorse Mill Art Studios building, Studio #209 in Needham, MA, a former textile factory renovated to create art studios.
Age Recommendation: Elementary school-aged children, ages 5 to 11.
