La Vida Adventure Camp received the Wicked Local Readers’ Choice Award in 2016 for best summer camp in the North Shore region. We provide adventure experiences in a safe environment that allow youth to expand their horizons in healthy and encouraging ways.
La Vida aims to build character, positive self-identity and a commitment to serve and care for others. Campers are challenged to get out of their comfort zone and try fun and exciting activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and high and low ropes courses.
We use these fun experiences, team-building activities and a high staff-camper ratio to help encourage learning and growth. These day camp opportunities are available to youth ages 10–15 with on- and off-campus programming.
Teens 15–18 are eligible for the Adirondack Leadership Program which takes place in Upstate New York (transportation provided from Gordon College).
On this 10-day adventure, campers backpack or canoe amidst the beautiful Adirondack Park, learn outdoor camping skills, connect with other students and gain leadership skills.
Each participant will have the chance to explore the meaning of their faith and will put leadership skills to practice on a daily basis. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of leadership that can be helpful for future résumé building.
