Revels music director Megan Henderson and song leader David Coffin co-host this fun participatory evening of pageantry and song celebrating the change of seasons and the splendor of the Charles River and its parklands. Featuring over 150 performers, the real stars of Revels RiverSing are YOU! As always, the audience is encouraged to sing along.
Helping us celebrate this year will be the 100-member RiverSing Chorus, guest soloists including jazz great Stan Strickland, The Revels Alumni Youth Chorus, Bluegrass musician Howie Tarnower; singer/songwriter Bret Silverman; saxophonist Ken Field, the high-energy percussion ensemble aNovaBrasil, a fantastic folk band, plus the raucous JP Honk.
Adding whimsy and magic to the mix will be acrobats and street performers, the Puppeteers Cooperative’s larger-than-life puppets, and the giant illuminated butterflies of Gabriel Q.
Revels RiverSing is FREE and open to the public.
