Join the Boston Landmarks Orchestra for a powerful and uplifting Juneteenth Celebration Concert, honoring the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrating Black culture through music.
Landmarks’ fourth annual Juneteenth concert celebrates music of Scott Joplin, Florence Price, Jessie Montgomery, Michael Abels, Julia Perry, and P.I. Tchaikovsky.
This year, we are thrilled to collaborate with talented young musicians from the Sphinx Performance Academy intensive summer program, which will be in residence at Boston Conservatory in June.
This indoor concert is hosted at the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Dorchester, creating an accessible and welcoming space for all.
What to Expect:
- Performances of classical and contemporary works by Black composers
- Musical tributes to African American history and heritage
- A vibrant celebration of community, resilience, and unity
- Family-friendly environment — all ages welcome
Presented in collaboration with the Boston Juneteenth Committee, this concert is part of the orchestra’s ongoing mission to engage diverse audiences and amplify underrepresented voices through the arts.
