We’re thrilled to announce that the Illuminations Tour is back! As in recent years, we’ll provide an online map featuring the best and brightest holiday displays.
Folks are welcome to take tours whenever they’d like (any time after our online map goes live, Dec 8, 2022).
*We’re not doing trolley tours this year for several reasons, namely the price of trolley rental has become very expensive -- forcing us to charge a lot for tickets. We feel the way to make this event as inclusive as possible is to have it be free.
And back by popular demand: Caroling! Caroling will be one night only on December 15, 2022.
Illuminations Timeline
Dec. 8 through early January: Self-guided tours using the SAC’s official online Illuminations Map
Dec. 15th, 6-8pm: City-wide caroling (rain date Dec 16th)
Dec 17th (rain date Dec 18th), meeting at Somerville City Hall at 5:45 pm, departing at 6 pm.
Illuminations Map 2022
Our Illuminations 2022 map will be available starting on Dec. 8th — the night we kick off Illuminations month! The map will be available through Dec. 30th, 2022.
The map will include:
*Crowd-sourced suggestions of snazzy displays not to be missed
*Caroling schedule and locations for December 15th.
*Our traditional Illuminations 'winners' houses-- with history and descriptions you can read about
Time to light things up Somerville!!! This year, Illuminations will be a month-long lights extravaganza in which the public is able to take self-guided tours of decked-out houses any time they like!
Using our handy map, it will be easy to cruise around and see the best lights in town. So whether you're a business or a resident, time to deck the halls and plug things in!
