Created by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) and Rebel Restaurants in collaboration with botanical design studio Floratorium, The Grove features ivy-wrapped entrances, seating draped in camellia foliage and wisteria vines, sculptural swings, pergolas, and twinkle lights throughout.
Grand opening day (6/6) features Harpoon's Boston Chilling Low Key Music Fest, free and open to the public from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Location: The Lawn on D, 420 D Street, South Boston.
Food and drink come from shipping containers wrapped in jasmine and ivy, with a menu spanning poke bowls, fire-grilled skewers, shrimp lettuce wraps, fresh tajin mango and watermelon cups, burgers, wraps, grilled cheese, fried seafood, wings, lobster rolls, and other shareable plates.
Four on-site bars pour specialty and frozen cocktails (think Watermelon Frosé and a Campfire S'mores Martini) along with wine, beer, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic options.
Weekends bring a full schedule of live music, and one of the largest LED screens in the greater Boston area will stream sporting events and movie nights all summer long.
The Grove opens to the public on 6/6 with Harpoon's Boston Chilling Low Key Music Fest, a free event running from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
