The Hopkinton Center for the Arts offers year-round classes and workshops for all ages in the visual and performing arts. Classes are taught by experienced instructors and are tailored for beginning and advanced students.
Summer programs at the HCA include classes in the fine arts (drawing, photography, jewelry making, pastels, ceramics, watercolor), the performing arts (acting, musical theater, Shakespeare), dance, yoga, music (choir, home recording, rock band), movie making, and much more.
Half-day and full-day programs are available for students ages 3 to 18. Classes take place between July 5 through August 19, with multiple weeklong sessions available to choose from.
Special this year are new classes, including a Shakespeare Workshop: From Page to Stage with Brown Box Theater for grades 7 to 12, and Comedic Improvisation with Boston Casting, the largest casting agency in Boston, for grades 4-9.
Students in grades 2 to 8, can also register to be in the main cast and ensemble of 'Schoolhouse Rock!'. Performances of this production will be held July 22.
Additional programs in the visual and performing arts are held every fall, winter, and spring and during school vacation weeks.
