Join Boston Harbor Now on Thursday, August 28th for a dazzling waterfront celebration of community and the end of summer, capped off with a spectacular Boston Harbor fireworks display.The waterfront and harbor are treasures that belong to everyone, and we take pride in the diverse communities and public resources that make up our city’s waterfront.
Thanks to the generous support of MeetBoston and the City of Boston, Illuminate the Harbor Fireworks is back this Labor Day Weekend for its 13th year.
New for 2025!
Live Music at 7 PM at two locations:
Piers Park, East Boston: Don’t Be Denied Band + @zumixinc youth
Christopher Columbus Park, North End: @berkleecollege acts
Fireworks at Dusk – produced by @pyrotecnico_inc, known for dazzling, colorful shows. Major support of Illuminate the Harbor provided by @meetbostonusa and @cityofboston. Public viewing is available along the Boston Harborwalk in East Boston, Charlestown, North End, and Seaport.
A 13 year tradition that brings Bostonians, new students, and visitors together to celebrate the transition of the seasons on the public waterfront.
Arrive early, explore your @bostonharborwalk, and grab the best views & pre-show fun before LDW! This event is free and open to the public.
Fireworks can be viewed from anywhere on the waterfront but suggested public viewing locations along the Boston Harborwalk include:
- Christopher Columbus Park, North End
- Piers Park, East Boston
- Fan Pier, Seaport District

This special end-of-summer display invites everyone down to Boston’s waterfront to experience the wonder of Boston Harbor illuminated after dark with a colorful fireworks show.
